Did you know that there are more than 90 URL shortening services?
Besides being a great tool for sharing links — it’s their accessibility through other services that is making them so valuable.
My absoloute favourite is moourl.com — tagged as the web’s cutest URL shortening service. You can shorten a long URL with moourl.com and personalise the new and shorter URL too.
Again, they have nice accessibility through their browser bookmarklets. However, unlike TinyURL – which is probably the web’s most prolific URL – it’s not yet automatically integrated through many Twitter clients like Twhirl.
Ping.fm also have their own shortening service which is automatically activated when entering a URL through any of their many entry points (on site, Google Gadget, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk to name a few).
