This week marked the launch of PhotosOfOldPeople.com - a very unique and moving site created by friend, Karla Courtney. Flickr VS Facebook Photos

A colleague this week asked me about the importance/relevance of Flickr in today's Facebook trodden wall. The answer is simple: Audience. I could talk at length about the social intricacies but at the end of the day, I share my many and very ordinary photos of social gatherings (getting trashed) with my friends and family - and it's the random comments made that are the most valueable. Review of the Olympus Tough 790SW

New toy. The Olympus Tough 790SW. I know. I probably should stop buying new toys. But this one is specifically for my trip back to Colombia and of course to get some great shots on NYE. It'll help photo-journal my 5 week trip, and those drunken moments at Luna Park. At a promotional price of less than $380 (RRP $499), I was sold. The little extra money for a huge range of durable features, this camera is built to last. Didn't get raving reviews, but from what I've seen so far I believe it's been underrated.
