Holding social networking profiles to ransom

This is a headline I never thought I'd see:  "..hacker holds rapper Soulja Boy's MySpace account ransom.." Soulja Boy has always been held in high regard by many for the way he embraced social media and used it as a great platform to launch his career.  Not only that - but he used it to defend himself and deliver his messages (even dance moves). Whether you agree to Superman Dat Ho or not - he knew how to wield the sword that is social media.  Turns out a 12 year old fan saved his YouTube for him - great example of community support ...

New Facebook Design

Jye Smith is disgusted by the new Facebook design. It has just created more noise than ever before. I was very excited when I heard about the (belated) Facebook redesign.  As I typed in new.facebook.com to activate the new design, my stomach clenched and I felt sick.  It seems that Facebook has tried to pick off the features of the MySpace design update. And, like them, Facebook has tried to deliver too much information to the user at once, creating nothing but a messy overload of information. My feedback sent through: "Where's the structure gone? As a little experiment, I've suggested Twitter to both of them - although I can already predict their response - "None of my friends use, ...

Facebook Will Fail

I’m making this official now: my prediction is that the numerous applications that FaceBook allow and encourage, will ultimately bring it undone. I believe it’s already starting to have a negative effect on the site’s integrity. On the other hand, FaceBook has a lot of user friendly, accessible, logical and ergonomic features that really set it apart from MySpace. Those of you who use MS will notice it scurrying to pick up the pieces of it’s all technology to catch up. Good luck, but um.. too little, too late? Just quickly, few nice points about the ol’ FB: Newsfeed - omg ♥ Logical flow ...
