We love Twitter.

twittervisits

Yesterday Hitwise published an update on just how much we Aussie’s love Twitter.  I’ve always been interested in the reason behind why people started — what was that catalyst? What story did they want to tell?

Visits to Twitter had a short term dip between September 2008 and November 2008, but have steadily climbed again to January 2009, and were at an all time high for the week ending 10 January 2009. Twitter has maintained its phenomenal yearly growth rate, increasing year-on-year in web visits by 517.9% (w/ending 10 January 2009 compared to the same week last year).

I can’t remember precisely, but it was around SXSW. There was so much great insight coming through that I had to join in to view the feeds.
